There are so many of London’s major attractions within walking distance of our four star hotel in Kensington. Looking for culture? You’ll find it in spades at the V&A, Science Museum and Natural History Museum just a 10-15 minute stroll away. Want some greenery in a royal setting? Hyde Park with its boating lake is around 20 minutes away on foot, as is Kensington Gardens, which is also home to Kensington Palace.
If you’re looking for shopping then you’re definitely in the right place. The world-famous department store Harrods in exclusive Knightsbridge and the designer boutiques on the King’s Road in Chelsea are within a 25-minute walk. There are so many cafes and restaurants in the local area too, when you need a pit stop.
Nearest tube station:
Gloucester Road is the nearest tube station to our hotel in Kensington. Located in Zone 1, you can travel around London cheaply and quickly from here. The Piccadilly Line will take you to the West End for clubs and entertainment and onto King’s Cross St Pancras for the Eurostar in one direction, and to Heathrow Airport in the other. The Circle Line provides a direct route to the Tower of London as well as the famous stalls at Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill. The District Line will transport you to Richmond and Wimbledon.
From the airport:
From Heathrow Airport: It’s so easy and quick to get to K Hotel Kensington from Heathrow Airport. Simply take the Piccadilly Line and the journey will take less than 40 minutes, with a 5-minute walk on arrival at Gloucester Road Tube Station.
From Gatwick Airport: From Gatwick Airport you can take a Gatwick Express or Southern Rail train to London Victoria. Then change onto the Circle or District lines and it’s just a short tube journey to Gloucester Road Station.
